Emmaus existed as a village in Palestine until 1967, located approximately 30 km west of Jerusalem, on the border between the mountains of Judea and the valley of Ayalon, not far from where the road from Jaffa to Jerusalem splits into two branches.
The Holy place of Emmaus is open for individual or group visits.
Monday through Friday:
from 8:30 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5.30 pm (5 pm in winter)
Saturday: from 8:30 am to 5.30 pm (5 pm in winter)
